Ulf Mattsson is a recognized expert in information security and data privacy with over twenty years of experience implementing cost-effective data security and privacy controls for global Fortune 500 companies, including Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, GE Capital, BNY Mellon, AIG, Visa USA, Mastercard Worldwide, American Express, The Coca-Cola Company, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, KOHL'S, Microsoft, IBM, Informix, Sybase, Teradata, and RSA Security. He is currently the Chief Security Strategist and formerly the Chief Technology Officer at Protegrity, a data security firm he co-founded after spending 20 years at IBM in software development. Ulf is an inventor of more than 70 issued U.S. patents related to data privacy and security. Ulf actively contributes to the information security industry by helping develop data privacy and security standards, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X9, for the financial sector. He serves on the advisory board of directors at PACE University in New York, focusing on cloud security, and is a frequent speaker at international events and conferences, including the RSA Conference. He has authored over 100 detailed professional articles and papers on data privacy and security, published in IBM Journals, IEEE Xplore, ISSA Journal, and ISACA Journal. Ulf holds a Master's degree in Physics and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
