Mark Kimmer (Kim), Martin Konner (Konner), and Mathew Kameron (Loki) O'Hara have been space faring smugglers and pirates almost all of their lives. On the run, as usual, from the Imperial Military Police (IMPs) they fly through a rogue jump point and land on a lost Earth colony planet where dragons are real and magic works. They use their technology and new-found psi powers to free some slaves and cure a plague.

The locals proclaim them the Stargods.

Then they have to live up to it.
