Aitor Blanco-Pérez is an Assistant Professor of Classics specialising in Greek inscriptions and literary sources from the Roman Imperial period. After receiving an Honours degree in classical philology at the University of Salamanca, he read for a M.St. and a D.Phil. at the University of Oxford. He later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cologne and joined the CNRS on an ERC-funded project before returning to Spain. His publications mainly focus on the political cultures of the eastern Mediterranean and the interaction of local communities with Roman power, particularly regarding issues of civic life, onomastics, and epigraphic habits in Asia Minor.
