Gaz Hitchin is the co-founder and co-host of Autism Dadcast, a podcast for parents raising autistic kids. He's an ex-military dog trainer and handler, and a father to two children. One is 18 and neurotypical. The other is 6 and profoundly autistic. That contrast has given him a perspective a lot of people in this space don't have.
He started the podcast in 2025 because there was nothing out there that spoke to the reality of what families like his go through. The meltdowns, the sleep deprivation, the medical appointments, the relationship strain, the internal battles that dads face but rarely talk about. He speaks openly about all of it, with the kind of dark humour that comes from living it.
