Vinod Kumar Khanna, PhD (Physics), is an independent researcher based in Chandigarh, India. With a distinguished career spanning over 37 years, he has held esteemed positions, including emeritus scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India, and Emeritus Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad. As a retired Chief Scientist at CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani, and Professor at AcSIR, he has made significant contributions to the design, fabrication, and characterization of power semiconductor devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and nanotechnology-based sensors. He has authored 194 research papers in leading journals and conferences, written 24 books, and contributed 6 chapters to edited volumes. He has five patents to his credit, including two US and three Indian patents.
