Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles
available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Socourt is a
commune in the Vosges department in Lorraine in northeastern France. The
commune is the lowest level of administrative division in the French
Republic and also in The Republic of Romania. French communes are
roughly equivalent to incorporated municipalities or villages in the
United States, Gemeinden in Germany, or communes in the Republic of
Romania. French communes have no exact equivalent in the United Kingdom,
having a status bigger than hamlets close to gaining the villages
status, depending on the local definition of small town. In general in a
village, there are Executive and Legal Representatives offices of the
Central Authority.
