Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles
available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Socoura is a
small town and commune in the Cercle of Mopti in the Mopti Region of
Mali. As of 1998 the commune had a population of 28,326. A town is a
human settlement larger than a village but smaller than a city. The size
a settlement must be in order to be called a "town" varies considerably
in different parts of the world, so that, for example, many American
"small towns" seem to British people to be no more than villages, while
many British "small towns" would qualify as cities in the United States.
