Let me say this from the start: I'm not here to judge you. After more than fifty years in pastoral ministry, I've learned that condemnation rarely leads to transformation. I'm here to help you think biblically about a question the Bible doesn't address directly. The word "lottery" never appears in Scripture?you won't find it in Genesis or Revelation, in the Gospels or the Epistles. Yet the principles that govern our relationship with money, desire, trust, and love for our neighbor are woven throughout its pages like threads of gold.
