Lisa Howells is British journalist with over two decades of experience in consumer media. After working for a host of market-leading titles throughout her career, she is currently Deputy Editor of Crime Monthly magazine - which she co-created and launched five years ago - and is committed to being an advocate in the true-crime field. She also works as the Head of Production on Heat magazine, and is Books Editor for both titles, championing fiction in all its forms, but particularly female voices in crime.
In addition, she co-hosts the CrimeCon UK Book Club each month, and frequently hosts author Q&A sessions, both online and at live events. She has also acted as a judge for a number of prestigious awards, including the British Book Awards, the True Crime Awards, and Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of The Year, and is on the board of the Capital Crime fiction festival.
Her extensive career in journalism and active involvement in the literary and true-crime communities underscore her dedication to both her profession and societal issues.
