A few years ago, as I approached my 60th birthday, I decided to join the Longevity Club. This book documents the start of my journey. A journey I believe that anyone with the right mindset can take.
I am not a Doctor, nutritionist or a Fitness Instructor. Just an ordinary person who spent most of his working life with his backside wedged in a chair staring at a computer screen.
My goal, as I realised there are fewer days of life ahead than behind, was to maximise the longevity of both my body and my mind - in short, to age well.
Because if asked I'd say I'd like to live forever, but failing that I'll settle for three digits on my birthday cake.
If I reach it then I hope there's something in this book that might explain how I managed it. What goals I set to keep myself motivated and what changes I made to my lifestyle during my late fifties to achieve such a feat.
Because if I can do it, anyone can.
