Until then, three things remain: faith, hope, and love- (1 Corinthians 13:13a, TPT).
The three unshakable virtues of the Christian walk are faith, hope, and love. When everything else is shaken and shattered, when our world is inundated with chaos and darkness, these three remain as an unbreakable cord, offering us a glimpse into the better, new world that will undoubtedly emerge.
Because of what God has done through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, all hope is never lost. Isaiah prophesied a time when darkness would cover the earth, but the promise remains: "...the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." (Isaiah 60:2b-3, NKJV).
You are the light in a dark world-a candle lit by divine providence that cannot be hidden, quenched, or put out. It is you, as light, who will vanquish the encroaching darkness. This is the power of hope. Darkness can never defeat light, and you are that light in a dark room.
In the end, we win!
