Alberto Martín (NiñoCactus) made a deal with his parents: since he disliked eating so much, they would give him a book for every pound he gained. Soon, the boy from Salamanca had his head so full of imaginary characters that they created their own world. He began to write in order to express himself and answer difficult questions, until one day he discovered in stories the gift of a new way to play. A storyteller, musician, puppeteer, and winner of the 2015 Fundación Cuatrogatos Award, he confesses that he still has many treasures to discover, while those he finds become stories. Celia Sacido is a Spanish illustrator who trained in animation filmmaking and directing at various schools in Valence (France) and Madrid. While studying, she discovered that, in addition to drawing, she also enjoyed storytelling. A master's degree in book publishing and training as a bookbinder cemented her love for books as physical objects. Through the format of the picture book, she has found a way to bring together everything she is passionate about. Always surrounded by books, today she tries to bring to life the books she would have loved to have read as a child.
