Nitesh has been a student of the Bhagavad Gita for over 35 years. He is the founder of Avanti Schools Trust, an academy trust with a unique ethos centred on spiritual insight, and a curriculum that includes meditation, yoga, philosophy, and ethics. His previous experience encompasses CEO and director roles across the exploration and investment banking industries and a broad business strategy background. As co-founder and CEO of Dharma Investments, he oversaw the development of the Dharma Indexes, introduced under licence by Dow Jones. His work on spirituality in education and business has inspired various projects, including a retreat centre and farm in the English countryside, a spiritually oriented endowment fund, and a brand of restaurant and well-being spaces. Nitesh has an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree from the University of London. He was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List of 2018 for Services to Education.
