An Abyss could be best described as a bottomless gulf, pit, or chaos of the old cosmogonies. Another definition points to an immeasurably deep gulf or great space. But lastly, and my personal favorite, describes an abyss as intellectual or spiritual profundity.
The Abyss is a collection of short stories from the mind of horror writer, Bryan Nowak. A few of these stories are reprints from other anthologies and magazines which survive out there in the ecosystem today. You can find them and where the stories did appear someplace else, I tried to tell you where you could find them if you were interested.
Other stories span the spectrum or strange thoughts I had one day to stories I wrote for magazines or other anthologies which were not picked up for whatever reason. I will take you from a cursed beach where the storm itself hides a frightful and terrifying secret to a horrifying portrayal of a funeral, from the corpse's point of view.
I'll also take you down the roads of a ghost town where the only resident is a horrifying creature who was made and not born and then in another tale, I am going to tug on your heart strings a little. Yes, these are some of my favorite short stories in my collection, so I am thrilled to offer them here in one collection just for you.
