Retired! New start! Murder!
Todd, detective lieutenant, has retired from St. Louis, Missouri and has moved to Ford Valley, Arizona. When Todd's ex-wife is killed in a car accident, Todd fights for custody of his teenage daughter. She has been lied to about him and he must win back his daughter's love.
Upon entering the town of Ford Valley, police harassment begins. Todd's old army buddy, Fritz informs Todd about how the "Fords" run everything. Fritz tries to convince Todd he is the answer to the town's corruption.
Be the new sheriff!
Murder, harassment, and corruption needs to be corrected. Is Todd the one to do it? Will he get support from the town? Will he regain the love of his daughter?

Newly elected Sheriff Todd Mercer faces a county run by one family, the Fords. They've controlled everything in the city and county for many years and now will fight Todd and his friends, who want to take the county back from the corrupt family.
Todd's first week on the job is chaotic. He faces murder cases, fights, staff walking off the job or quitting, harassment, staff promotions, hiring new staff and the corrupt Fords. Who can he trust?
Todd gets shot at and attacked repeatedly. How can he fight back? How can he get the sheriff's office the way it should be? Did he really want all this stress and fight?
Todd and his supporters must still struggle against the police department, the judges, and the county attorney, as well as the county board of supervisors. (All Fords!)
All Todd can do is put out one 'fire' after another. Will they ever win the fight?

Will Justice overcome the Ford Valley Corruption!
Ford Valley is corrupt because of the Fords. Newly elected Sheriff Todd Mercer has improved the Sheriff Department. However, can Sheriff Mercer and his committee fight to change the corruption in the town, judges, and mayor?
Three months after Sheriff Mercer was elected, corruption is still strong. The committee is trying hard to make the necessary changes to fight the corruption before the Fords get their way.
Robbery, murders, a cold case, and assaults make change difficult.
Will Sheriff Mercer and the committee win the election in April and provide justice for Ford Valley?
