The Skin Walker remains a deadly threat, using its devilry to get closer to Ari. At every turn bodies were appearing and they were no closer to catching the Skin Walker. It was clear that traditional methods were no match for this cunning adversary, so it was time those of Light seek assistance from those who operate outside the fabric of Fate, individuals who dwelled in the shadows and thrived in the gray areas between the world of Thaumaturgy and Devilry.

And it is in those shadows that Ari has to make the difficult decision when from the shadows an unlikely hero emerges, one that goes against everything Ari believes in and stands for, but one that she has to trust if she is to survive.
