The name of this collection indicates its subject matter, as it is a collection of poems adapted from the poet's collections, which are: Morning Awakening, Noon Glow, Evening Ghosts, Night Sorrows, Forty Inspirations, The Gift of the Curlew, A Passerby, West Hurricanes, After the Hurricanes, and the following poetry composed after the publication of this latest collection. The first parts of these collections were sold out and were reprinted and sold out at the time, and only a little of the last of these collections remains. We received many letters from those asking about some or all of these collections and requesting that they be sent to them, especially readers of Arab countries that did not have easy access to Egyptian books in some eras. We hesitated between printing them in one volume and returning them in separate parts as they were first published. Both are insufficient to facilitate what is required of them, due to the large size or the length of time. We preferred to take a middle ground between the two matters by quoting this collection, which replaces the poetry of all the collections for a time, and completes the poetry chapters as a whole for those who lack some parts.
