Rose Fox, a resident of a tranquil NSW Southern Highlands village, relishes the peaceful environment conducive to her writing. Rose has been an avid reader since her early school days, enjoying books like "The Far Away Tree" series and "Peter Pan". Decades later, joining the Australian Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW) inspired her to write, especially after the birth of her first grandchild. The novel "Daniel and the Time Changer" started as a 1,500-word FAW writing challenge based on the title "The Occasional Journey." Born in Zimbabwe, Rose learned a love of the bush from her father, who also wrote several unpublished stories and was another source of her inspiration to write. Rose immigrated to Sydney, Australia in the early eighties, along with her husband and young family. Trading Sydney's busy life for a quiet countryside home near a national park, she enjoys time walking in the forest, reading, writing and watercolour painting when she is not quilting or entertaining friends.
