Wade Tankovich never intended to write a book, let alone a series. Volume 3 marks the origin point, where it all began: a single story, quietly documented after being separated from his children during a difficult legal process. Writing became a way to process, to reflect, and eventually, to understand that what he was experiencing was not isolated or unusual, shockingly and disturbingly common.
With a background in education, environmental science, local government project delivery, and a long-standing passion for design, Wade brings a layered perspective to the page. Through lived experience, research, and observation, he began mapping out the deep-rooted patterns that quietly exist beneath the surface of many modern systems.
Echoes of Silence, Voices of Change captures the turning point, not just for the author, but for the series itself. What started as a personal record of grief, disbelief, and disconnection slowly evolved into a broader framework for reflection, reform, and renewal. Wade's story revealed not just ingrained biases in his own backyard, but similar echoes in systems all around the world.
This volume does not attempt to fix the system in one step. Nor does it demand agreement. Instead, it offers quiet insight into what happens when parents are misunderstood, misrepresented, or slowly erased, not by their actions, but by the way systems are designed. Through calm observation, gentle challenge, and unwavering clarity, Wade shares what it means to hold on, not just to hope, but to one's sense of self.
He is the founder of Women's and Family Support Australia (WFSA) and Portal Loop Publishing, and continues to advocate for support-first frameworks that protect women, keep fathers involved, and ensure children grow up witnessing respect, equality, and calm leadership.
