Under the authority of the brimhats, an elite group of government officers specialized in dispatching supernatural creatures: A dwarven investigator, Markus of Brittletack, and his commanding officer, Douglas, are sent to a castle deep within the forest to investigate a series of mysterious disappearances. Their target? A killer that can change his appearance at will. It all looks a little too familiar to Markus, who knows Douglas isn't who he says he is. The isolated locale is a perfect place to seek dark revenge, just so is it to hunt your prey. Will they find the killer in time? or will ghosts from the past cloud their judgment?
