Paulo Kurka is a professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering at UNICAMP in São Paulo, Brazil. He earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering (1989) from UMIST-University of Manchester, UK. His research interests include system dynamics, signal processing, and automation. He chairs the Dynamics Committee of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences and his recent work focuses on image processing in automation and robotics, structural dynamics and vibrations, and railway vehicle dynamics.
Milton Pereira graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1995), where he also earned his M.Sc. (1998) and Ph.D. (2004) in Mechanical Engineering. He is a professor and deputy head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His expertise lies in Precision Engineering, with a focus on manufacturing processes, process optimization, machine design, metrology, project methodology, automotive engineering, and laser material processing. |
