The articles collected in this anthology address highly relevant issues of energy transition from both French and German perspectives. The question of energy production beyond fossil fuels entails lines of investigation ranging from attitudes to nuclear energy, through the development of renewables, to new hopes associated with hydrogen. The authors draw on their own recent empirical research and set this specifically in relation to the French-German interface. Precisely here, where perspectives at times fundamentally differ, a productive spotlight can illuminate asymmetries and contradictions and reveal comparable patterns and approaches. The publication of research results in this form renders them accessible to an international public.
