Trepidation about the punishment was the strongest emotion because I found myself moving as slowly as possible with the last dish and when it was done, I made it a point to clean the sink so it was spick and span and then the counters. I was about to give the stove and oven a thorough cleaning like I might have once or twice a year when I heard Kris from behind me. "Now, pet."
