First, whether you choose to finish this book or not, you have my most heartfelt thanks for choosing to start.

Second, I intend this book to be volume one of a series but it could just as easily be considered an introduction to the series in short story anthology form. That is to say, one could easily read only the Laura chapters or only the Mark chapters and enjoy the experience. It could also be read as a single book, short on story, but one that introduces this world. Subsequent volumes will expand on the world and each book will follow one character more closely. It is possible parts of this book will appear in those subsequent volumes.

Lastly, this book is, admittedly short on story but it's long on passion. If we're honest with ourselves this is a work of pornography. If you've found this book, I expect that's what you're really looking for, however, I don't want you, dear reader, to have any misunderstandings about what is within these pages.
