Elaine has time to remember the fire, and her lost family members and decides after being robbed, that life has to change, she goes out on the road to meet her destiny in a small town on the California Central Coast, here she not only discovers her true love but also finds out that her father, the famous Artist is still alive. Elaine is also found by her lost brother and Baby Sister. In a reunion, Baby Sister, a famous actress and musician, is kidnapped for ransom, her family rallies and saves her life, making the intertwined family bonds like the roots of the Redwood trees in her father's painting, stand together. In the end we hear Mom's story, Dawn Jones who reached the top as a teen model, her career ending by the time she was in her early 20's. In a house fire the family is separated, when we hear Dawn's story we understand why, this was a tragedy of errors, when she decided to flee CPS who would have taken her children away from her, living like nomads in her car. The story takes place in the 1960's through 1990's.
