Southwood Conference Center functions around five buildings/facilities. The Antebellum Mansion has apartments for staff and rooms for guests and primary corporate offices. The famed Widow's Watch is located in The Mansion. The Depot was moved from downtown in chunks and pieces to be reassembled across the creek from the Mansion. Television productions are taped and conferences take place in this facility. The Bus Barn is where the tour bus is parked. The barn was built by an East Coast jeweler who scheduled two weeks, twice a year, to work on the campus. His Corvette is stored in the barn.
Follow the creek south and you will see a massive log lodge--Bethany Lodge--which is temporary housing, school, counseling place for children. There is one guest apartment and an apartment for a family in transition or counseling with Dr. Cindy, a child psychologist. Florence is in charge of food services for the campus. Her kitchen and offices are at the Lodge and her stage is the coffee shop.
The Lyttle House is a small chapel with Monticello arcitecture.
"Carafe Conspiracy" features Chad Wilson, a retired NGO executive of an International Missionary ministry. He joins the Southwood leaders: CEOs Brent and wife Felicia. Buddy, former drunk and wife Cheryl. She is a motivational speaker; he a craftsman and fixer of things broken. Charlie is a cop and resident pastor at The Depot. His wife Della is a nurse and red-haired singer.
