Blanket Island was the very best place in the Puget Sound to have a vacation, even during the earliest part of spring with rain and wind and freezing ice. Martie loved it. Loved the island, love the process of getting there, loved all of it.
Now that she'd finished her PhD, Martie could finally visit Storm on Blanket Island and, in the process of making the trip out, discover something that everyone else knew that Martie had yet to figure out.
