Marcel the Monkey is distraught at the disappearance of his bananas, which he had painstakingly collected. He rushes over to Hibou the Owl's house in hopes that Detective Hibou would solve the mystery. Hibou, like a true detective, questions him about his recent whereabouts and the friends he met with. Once Hibou gathers enough information, he ruminates over the situation and heads out to investigate. During his investigation, he comes across Ginny the Giraffe, Tessa the Turtle, and Robert the Rabbit - all whom Marcel had met - and finds out all of their food has disappeared too. Noticing the clues, the smart and sharp-eyed owl connects the dots and comes to a conclusion that shocks everyone. The friends are in for a life lesson!
