Leaving the military adds to the list of Kav Korolev's seemingly endless misfortunes. He is wrongly accused of committing a minor charge, and a police station becomes his first stop. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, Kav finds himself stranded in the police station; a place that ends up marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
The first stranger to approach Kav turns out to have more similarities than Kav could have imagined. He sees an opportunity with the stranger and doesn't hesitate to take it. The talkative and vibrant man in the police station becomes Kav's hope for survival.
It is this same stranger who becomes part of Kav's life year after year. The man who was nothing more but a stranger becomes Kav's friend, family, and eventually, the love of his life. The trauma from his childhood and emotions he has had bottled up for years, however, make it challenging for Kav embrace the new freedom and the new, overwhelming emotions.
