His mother's father, Maurice Renault, a man whose own past is shrouded in secrecy, death, and regret, reluctantly chooses to guide his grandson towards the truth of who and what he is. If he succeeds, further tragedy might be averted. But fate has other ideas in store for them both, and circumstance can be a fickle thing.
In the end, Sebastiane must come to terms with his past, forgive himself for the present, and accept his future. If he can, he just might be able to survive...
