He analyzed, researched, and directed the production of the bullet proof steel that was riveted to the bottom of the Helio's during Viet Nam. In 1978 He came up with the idea for the metal strike plate receptor that was inserted into the Kevlar Vest to stop the projectile. After a period of two and one half years he was recalled by NASA to complete his service to mankind.
