The issue of gambling in Albania has always been a concern in two perspectives: 1. Informality and illegality 2. The absence of responsible gaming politics and state regulation. The legislation on Gambling in Albania with the latest changes done and reflected in the new law "On Games of Chance in Republic of Albania", has brought a lot of changes in regards to some restrictions in advertising, taxes and number of gambling halls and distances between gambling halls and religious and education institutions, as well as increasing the age of the players etc.. But are these restrictions sufficient? - Or, should the government decide to put more restrictions in order to educate both operators and players? Will a restriction resolve these problems? Should this also be considered in government revenue prospective, or should the government protect players from gambling addiction?
