Imagination has always been the driving force behind the author's creativity. Webster defines Imagination as: the faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses. What a wonderful explanation. After receiving a BS from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, an MA from Columbia College, the author earned certification in Special Education Mediation in the court system of Georgia after completion at the Atlanta Justice Center. Writing was always a parallel career with audiology, speech and language pathology. During a lifetime of service to the profession, there were numerous opportunities to explore an increased interest in journalism.. This vocation often found opportunities to produce poetry, short stories, advertisements, and interviews with many famous individuals including: Shelley Winters, Emmett Kelly, Sr., William Saroyan, President Jimmy Carter, James A. Michener, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tom T. Hall, Jeannie C. Riley, Donna Fargo, Lynn Anderson, Jerry Lee Lewis, South Carolina Governor, Robert Evander McNair, NASCAR's founder, Bill France Sr., Toni Tennille and many others. Writing for the George C. Wallace State Community College newspaper, Executive, in Dothan, Alabama was a great start. A two year span with co-writer Geraldine Polk, as she wrote under the pen name, The Sports Card Doctor, adopted from her PhD, for TUFF STUFF Sports Magazine. It's been a great journey filled with fond memories and fodder for an extreme imagination.
