Focusing on feedforward control techniques, this book covers the various algorithms for attenuating residual oscillations that are excited by reference inputs to dynamical systems. It provides a presentation of the theory and numerical techniques used to shape control system inputs for achieving precise control when modeling uncertainties exist.
This book provides various algorithms for attenuating the residual oscillation that are excited by reference inputs to dynamical systems. It focuses on shaping the referenceinput to dynamical systems whose responses are characterized by lightly dampedmodes. It presents robust feedback controller design as an extension of an approach that can be exploited for robust open-loop controller design. After developing models for applications in which dynamics are dominated by lightly damped poles, the book focuses on time-delay filters (input shapers), calculus of variations, and control problems. It also examines the design of a robust time-delay filter and the development of input constrained design of open-loop control profiles.
