Alison Davies has a range of books published, fiction and non-fiction, and also compiled and edited Shrouded by Darkness, a horror collection which was short-listed for a British Fantasy Award. She writes for numerous magazines, and has a regular column in Child Education. She also works as a storyteller in schools throughout the UK. She lives in Nottingham.

Cathy has been doodling since she could hold a crayon. She went to art college and then travelled the world working in theatre, fashion and design before settling on a career in children's books. Cathy also writes animation film scripts, graphic novels and illustrates other people's books, in between blogging, teaching design and touring around the country. She lives in Surrey.
